It’s not surprising it’s not surprising that 2020’s Nissan GT-R is known as Godzilla in the eyes of enthusiasts because it’s extremely powerful and the equivalent of the dinosaur. Although the legendary Nissan hasn’t been changed since its debut a few year ago, the car offers a dazzling acceleration thanks to the raging twin-turbo V-6 engine and an incredibly powerful all-wheel drive system. It’s obvious that achieving the limits of the car in public roads isn’t possible without breaking the law However, the car is a blast to drive, whether you’re tearing down a straight road or speeding into corners. Despite its numerous otherworldly abilities and capabilities, it’s the 2020 GT-R is a stale beast that’s beginning to fall behind modern supercars. The most extravagant model is priced at nearly $30,000.

What’s New for 2020?

In 2020, Nissan updates its most expensive model, but it falls short of the full redesign that the GT-R demands. The previous Pure model has been discontinued that’s basically a sign that the cost for the basic model has increased by approximately $14,000. Nissan is also offering the 50th anniversary edition to celebrate the car’s history and racing heritage. The car is comprised with exclusive external features and more luxurious interior parts. Its Track Edition inherits performance equipment from NISMO model, and is then complemented by more fast features. It includes a lighter weight and a recalibrated transmission along with Turbos from Nissan’s GT-R GT3 race car.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

There’s a reason why Nissan costs 6 figures to purchase a vehicle which cost less when it was first introduced nearly a decade ago. It hasn’t really changed significantly since when it first came out. However, those who want to secure seat space in the most powerful vehicle to sport the GT-R label don’t have to worry about the price. The most expensive GT-R version comes with the NISMO but it’s priced higher than the more expensive McLaren 560 and Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Based on this, we’d recommend the GT-R Track Edition that still comes with a tuned NISMO engine and suspension, as along with a variety of other exclusive additions to the interior and exterior. There’s only one option: carbon-ceramic brakes, which we do not believe are worth the price of $15,000–unless you’re one of the drivers who actually race on track tracks.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

It is estimated that the EPA estimates that each 2020 GT-R will yield 16 mpg within the city and 22 miles per gallon in the open road. But, we don’t know the actual mpg of this car as we haven’t tried one on our 200-mile fuel-efficiency highway route.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The GT-R’s front seats are large, however the rear seats are a place which only the smallest of children can be the most comfortable. The interior is well-appointed and comes with a variety of regular features however, those looking for the most luxurious interiors like ones of Audi R8 or the Mercedes-AMG GT will be disappointed. Every model features a dual-zone climate control, leather-and-suede-covered upholstery, heated front seats, and more. The interior storage for cubbies isn’t plentiful with only big door pockets as well as the small center console.

Infotainment and Connectivity
